What are the the causes of overflow error when using SDSM model to downscale precipitation when I calibrate at monthly scale?

I am trying to downscale precipitation for one Gage station using SDSM model . But I keep encounter the problem of overflow error when I calibrate at monthly bases or even sometimes at seasonal bases. Knowing that I live in arid region with observed precipitation time series with a lot of zeros. The winter months showed better correlation but I can't figure out how to calibrate using winter months only.

Based on my experience with SDSM, the overflow error sometimes occur due mismatch of data range (Obs and modelled). You may try reducing the Obs data upper limit by few days.
