Hello, I have an operator T, which is non-unitary, and it's spectrum must be determined. It appears as the correct procedure :

1. Transform the operator to a unitary form

2. Represent the operator in a Lie Algebra

3. Determine whether the representation is reducible or irreducible.

4. Should it be irreducible, it yields then a spectrum composed of discrete values (quantized solutions).

Is there a paper that shows exactly this procedure for any non-unitary operator?

Coauthorship is possible, let me know if you are interested.

Thanks
