To implement a training program for the development of the performance of teachers in the primary stage - to develop a plan for training - implementation - and how to evaluate this program
Dear Heraiz, Thank you for your question. This is a major project and I believe the steps you need, as per my experience, maybe follow the following:
First: You need to form a small team who will be responsible for the staff development and identify the objectives and goals of the program. Also, identify areas of needs, training workshops needed, and how they can be delivered, any expertise to help/invite.
Second: Develop the training program schedules (for the whole year), with dates, the venues, and posters needed to promote the program.
Third, if the program is accredited, complete the forms for continuing education hours and submit applications (as per your institute).
Fourth, ensure that the training program focuses on areas of need and core skills, and is designed for hands-on-training, not just knowledge and facts.
Fifth, prepare the evaluation forms for each workshop. These forms could be developed online using free online surveys.
Six: Each participant should complete the evaluation form online and submit it to receive the certificate of participation. These certificates could also be designed from online templates available free on the Internet (you may need to adjust them and place the logo of your institute, etc.).
Seven: early planning, thinking, searching, and ensuring good quality of the program is vital. Eight: Use the feedback received to improve and update the plan for next year. I hope this helps you. I enclose a good chapter covering the Professional Development of Teachers. Good Luck, Prof. S Azer
