I have lots of spectra from XRD, Raman and XPS. It requires Gaussian fitting method but using Matlab code is very difficult. Could you suggest any software that helps to analyze the spectra: curve fitting, showing clearer peak position and reducing noise?
In my country, due to the low-qualified measurement system, we really need a good tool to show our results to the science community. At the moment, I only know Labspec and Peakfit.
Raman spectral analysis need to do some customisations in MATLAB. MATLAB is the easiest way to do so, it can also control some instrument. And also, Labview based hardware and software can be tried.
Maybe you could try OriginLab. I don't know the type of files that you get your results on but I believe OriginLab has some tools to help you.
Origin Lab will be a great help to you. You can edit the graphs, label the peaks and identify the associated values, calculate the areas under the graphs etc. You can also include several plots in one graph for comparison purpose, which you can see in most journal papers. Curve fitting and graph smoothing can also be done. All you need to do is to export the measurement data from the instrument into Excel format, and copy the numbers into OriginLab to plot the graphs. You can refer to my publications for the graphs produced from OriginLab.
Depends on the model of Raman spectroscope you are using. InVia Reinshaw plc Raman spectroscope comes with WIRE 4.1 software which is too easy to do post processing of Raman spectra.
If you have raw data containing .text or .excel. You can use OriginPro 8.5 or CasaXPS software to analyze them.

Origin is a good choice for analyze the peak position ,fitting etc.
Also you can try fityk which is freely available s/w for fitting , peak position , fwhm and back ground correction etc.
