What are the simplest methods of measuring the rates of carbon sequestration in mangrove forest?

Hi,

I would suggest the determination of the biomass status of mangrove and C status by loss on ignition technique (of the different plant parts) and to relate biomass (C) to plant size or age and from there knowing the population density over time, a good estimate of C sequestration can be found.
