I work for two organisations and am studying through a university, and have completed research for all three organisations. I have always used a single institutional affiliation as an author and that has been the organisation for whom I conducted the research. But should I have been putting more than one?
Do you only put the organisation that has directly supported the research? And if you have more than one affiliation, do all organisations need to approve the manuscript prior to submission?
