In the US, many already consumed GMO product without notice, such as soy product. Haven't heard any 'crisis' reports, except a few cases of 'allergies'.

Here what is the mean for "allergic"? Allergic effects cause "crisis" kind of problems right?
Allergy caused by the formulations of the pesticides or by the gene modification?

What I meant by 'crisis' was that suddenly quite a few people get sick due to food. I believe that many people in the US have eaten GM product without notice (because there is no 'GM' labels on the grocery). This is especially for GM soy product. In the US, over 90% planted soybean are GM (see attach article from USDA: Genetically Engineered Crops in the United States, p.10 figure). However, I haven't seen or heard any report about that GM products suddenly sicken many people. Instead, bacteria and viruses are the most common causes of food poisoning, such as from Salmonella, E. Coli and so on. Although some 'allergic' cases (to individuals very sensitive to ingredients of food from GM product) which involve in GM product were reported (see this report from Harvard University**).

Does your country (Iraq) supports GM agriculture? What is the most planted GM crop in your country? Do people there use GM crop or accept GM cropping?

Here in Iraq we import every new cultivars of vegetables form USA, Holand and France, seed producing companies, sure these imported seeds were modified genetically .... However, wheat and rice mostly we produce our own cultivars. In general, recently we are in ISISL mayhem.... most of our food is imported. Thanks

not really because only Sinatt sector is engaged in fighting, Kurds and Shiatt they doing well, particularly in spring and summer from march to January the left 3 month we import vegetables and pulse from Turkey,and Iran Iran mainly. These two countries their standard is less than one third of Iraqi economic standard....
our price now in Kg flour 0.8, rice 1, beans 1.5 lentil 1 chicken 2 these are fixed and meat 10 t0 12 $ most Iraqi do not consume imported meat only some poor
vegetables all between 0.25 to 1 $ and in winter be raised to 1 to 2 $... Thanks
