Virus is having its own lifespan, and it will die as will not be able to replicate in dead bodies.

In this debate, I would like to share my views.

If a dead body, infected with a strain of Covid-19, is buried in soil, possibilities are there for reinfection from the same environment. This is pertinent to mention that the viral nsP (Non-structural proteins) may sustain in the soil for a long period. We cannot deny the fact that 'Prions' are the scaffold proteins of viruses and do infection. Moreover, extremophiles those present in an extreme environment like deep into the soil, may carry the viral protein or its genome. Considering genome, COVID -19 strain, impregnated with RNA (the genetic material), supposed to be fragile. Interestingly, COVID-19 RNA, contain many pseudoknots, for the purpose of its structural maintenance.
