The abstract is the heart of a manuscript and gives an idea about the content and conduct of the research. However, it has a word limit (often 250 words). So it is important to present your research in the abstract in the most efficient way. What are the points to be considered while preparing an abstract?
An abstract should, first of all, explain the problem, the reason why you conducted the research.
Then it should explain your methods, briefly but as clear as possible.
Finally, your results and conclusions.

Every sentence in an abstract should mirror -- but not copy -- the sections in the paper.
In a standard research paper there will be an Introduction, Lit review, Method, Results and Discussion/Conclusion. In reading the Abstract there will be a sentence or two devoted to summing up each.
The reader will want to know --in a glance and within 150-250 words: The background/aim (Introduction), the method used (Method), the results found (Results), what you think about your results (Discussion) and what you concluded (Conclusion).
This structure will be slightly different if the structure of the paper is different: for example, In a corporate-style report a "recommendations" sentence might be included; in an scientific report, there might be a "procedure" sentence. The main thing is: the reader needs to get the "gist" of the entire paper very quickly without having to read the whole paper. "Abstracts" are typically 150-250 words, "Executive Summaries" can be much longer. Never attempt to write an abstract until the paper has been written. They should be written last and with great care.

Since abstract is the summary of your research with limited words to inform readers about your research & attract them to read on the details, think author should stress on the research scope & research findings. These 2 in the abstract enable the readers to evaluate the relevancy & interest of the article.
Every part of the paper should be included in the abstract. It is also a place to stress the main message of the paper.
