I recently received a liquid sample from a biogas facility and was asked what is inside. I have checked under the microscope and saw some bacteria like microorganisms swimming inside. the liquid is brownish. Can they be methane bacteria or some kind of yeast or even a mixture of contaminated samples? Can methane bacteria survive with normal atmosphere? Since I am not a microbiologist and only worked with E.Coli so far, any suggestion will be appreciated:)
