In Peru, a new law (N.° 30884) regarding the usage of single-use was recently passed. This law states that for every plastic bag a person is willing to take when they, for example, go to the supermarket to buy groceries, they have to pay an extra 10 cents (local currency), as they have added the "plastic bag tax". Every year, the tax will increase by 10 cents. So in 2020, people will pay 20 cents, 30 cents in 2021, and so on.
