My interest is in 2 parts.
1. Impacts when fishing on spawning aggregations. I've done an on-line literature search including ResearchGate but have found only limited information. Does anyone know of any in-depth studies of this issue and able to point me towards the most relevant documents, or, who might have done some investigations themselves and have a bibliography they would be willing to share?
2. Possible impacts of fishing just prior to the time of actual spawning when the fish are forming into their aggregations. For example, if a fishery is closed during the spawning period, would it be prudent to also close it for a period prior to actual spawning and if so, how long a period should that be? I've not been able to come up with any literature on this at all.
