Hello, Iam trying to design and construct a drop weight impact testing machine. So I need some information about the Impactor properties.
How can I select the Impactor diameter and the length??.

Before designing ANY test equipment, the objectives of the test should be determined in terms of the required characteristics that is to be obtained. The output to be measured should be related and applicable to the fundamental engineering properties in terms of any intended theoretical analysis of the structure to be tested. We are beyond a stage of empirically derived functions based on little (or even no) fundamental scientific basis.
