Policy discussions and scientific studies today omit the important linkages between water quality and climate change, whereas the impacts of climate change on the quality of freshwater systems are likely to be significant. More scientific understanding is hence needed to address the physical, chemical, biological and socio-economic impacts that current and expected climate change have, and will continue to have, on the quality of the world’s freshwater resources. Impact of climate change on water quality is very prominently observed in Indian major carps natural spawning activities in Halda River, Bangladesh. The fish usually breed during early torrential rainfall in April and May, when needed water quality (in respect of needed amount of different physical and chemical parameters of water) occurred earlier regularly in time, but due to climate change that means the late rainfall, or no rainfall and high temperature hampered the intensity and amount of breeding (no breeding) in some years.
water quality is very much related to climate change. Low rain fall / more rain, conditions directly related to ground water system. Water rock interaction is important for water quality.
My thinking is again several things will happen in terms of water quality. I taken into consideration a couple of scenarios below:
1. When places get too hot - almost all water sources will face shortage.
2. When there is too much rain - inundation of water sources and contamination as a result of flooded and events that will follow will happen.
3. Sea level might rise - will displace water sources at and along the lowlands and coastlands.
4. Increase in rainfall might well lead to saltwater intrusion of inland water sources and probably rise in salinity and increase in salt content.
5. Some of the above will lead to incursion of pests and diseases, probably never known and managed before including microbes, capable of causing diseases.
For me , I think salinisation of Water is the most dangerous probleme of Climate change.
Climate has intense impact on the surface water quality. For example, the change of temperature and rainfall pattern can influence on the nutrient concentration. A lake or any water body can easily be transformed into an eutrophic stage if the environmental factors are favorable due to cliamte change. Nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations change with seasons. Even for diatoms, and other algae species, climate plays a big role in their biomass. The population of invasive species like dreissenids (e.g., zebra mussel and quagga mussel, Dreissena polymorpha and Dreissena bugensis) which impact water quality can be altered due to climate change. For the coastal areas, the impact of sea level rise and possible intrusion of saline water can affect water quality and performance of coastal wetlands. There are plenty of studies on the impact of cliamte change on water quality.
Temperature and rainfall are the two extremely important parameters for maintaining the quality of water, which are found to be seriously disturbed by climate change on which other physical, chemical and biological parameters of water body is dependent. So, there is a great impact of climate change on water quality.
The Answer depends strongly by the region considered. Anyway the ongoing climate chance leads to inceease water temperature with acidification of the seas, massive presence of cyanobacteria and mucilage ( less oxygen availability) and stenothermal species
With climate change, the water cycle is expected to undergo significant change. Therefore, the water quality will be changed drastically.

It is evident in our planet weather and climate patterns are changing and will continue to shift, which may increase in return the occurrence of extreme weather conditions and modify the normal balance of water bodies and ecosystems, leading to the degradation of water quality.
