If by "free journals" you mean that there is no processing fee (as opposed to open journals), I had a very good experience with "Computers in Human Behavior," which is published by Elsevier (see attached article for reference). Management Information Systems is also a pivotal journal.
However, there is a trade-off as most of the "free journals" will require you to give up or retain a very limited copyright of your work.
