Unfortunately, ICT integration for the marginalized and/or minority communities is not always done in a sensitive way, so their views and culture are misrepresented. As such, they can be impacted negatively by the cultural insensitivity display in such media like videos and readings. Here are a few articles that I have written on the topic.

On a positive note, we have used social media to help Creole speakers to improve on their English (language as part of culture) in order to do better on their exams which are done in English. I hope this can be useful to your research. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Conference Paper Social Media in Education: Bringing Your Classroom to Life -...
Recently we had a Masters thesis from a working teacher defended in our department. What the author emphasized was that the marginalized children have a great interest in the ICT and very minor in everything else. Her main problem with teaching mathematics was the language - most of her students had problems with speaking Bulgarian language fluently. What she found was that the usage of ICT is helping her a lot for breaking the language barrier.
Unfortunately her research is all in Bulgarian language so it is no help if I upload it here...
