What are the effects of n-3 fatty acids on lipoproteins, VLDL and its remnant IDL structure and oxidability?

n-3 fatty acids administered to a hypertriglyceridemic patient at a weekly dose of 3.6 g produce a dramatic decrease in plasma triglycerides. Which are the mechanisms in both lipoproteins,their structure and oxidability as an effect of depletion of triglycerides ,the precursor triglyceride depleted- VLDL and its remnant Intermediate density IDL ?
