After you finish the course then go for the specialization course on again Coursera website "Deep Learning by AnderNG". You can choose the course on the Coursera website "Machine Learning from Stanford by AndewNG"

After completing these courses you need to do the specialization in the course "Machine Learning in Mathematics"

I think it would be helpful, if it would be possible for you to start with SVM and ANN-MLP networks with Python programming language or Matlab software. I am confident you will develop advanced deep learning algorithms after taking all these courses and coding simple networks.
