Student researcher here, our topic is about the experiences of Parentified Young adults and was initially thought it would take a qualitative phenomenological approach. Now, we were advised to make it into an IPA. Im wondering what are the diff between the two.
I think of Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) as one of the many forms of phenomenological analysis, all of which are qualitative in nature. So, it sounds like your advisor is simply steering you towards one explicit form of phenomenological analysis.

Devendra Singh I do not think there is a specific approach known as Qualitative Phenomenological research. Could you please supply some citations that describe a separate approach to qualitative data collection and analysis that goes by this name?

Also, I feel that a qualitative phenomenological study means the same as phenomenological study.
