I am studying on asparate cellular metabolites using pre-column opa derivation methods.
According to my hplc graph, one particular peak in my treatment regularlly appeared among glutamate and asparagine(before asparagine-peak and after glutamate-peak) compared to the control.
I have excluded several amino acids, see details in the enclosed file. So could you please give me hint about what amino acids could be candicates for this special peak?
Hi, Do you have measured all other standard amino acid, and no one is matched with Rt 6.297? (e.g. Mixture of AA std. from Agillent has 23 amino acids). If, yes, than I think you should apply LC MS MS to predict the compound with Rt. 6.297. Do you have searched in the literature the possible amino acid (or related compound) for your work? Thank you for your repley! I applied a AA std mix including 17 amino acids from Sigma, but no one matched. I realized that LC/MS was a good way to recognize the unknown, but which was not availble in our institute.
Hi, I hope it is possible for you to get additional AA std mix from other supplier, maybe one of the AA can match with yours; Have you GC-MS? if you have GC-MS I think you can do the analysis the AA by GC-MS after derivatization. Best regards
