Hello RGs, What are the criterias if a faculty member (Assistant Professor) want to do POst-doc in his/her field? Is it same or vary country to country and Is there any age limits.
If yes then a faculty member (Assistant Professor) will live without pay or will pay during Post-doc?????

Your question is very pertinent and interesting. I’m afraid the answers will not be that clear-cut. While on one hand you focus on investigating the eligibility criteria to engage in a postdoc, on the other hand the description of your question targets institutional aspects behind postdoc planning (i.e. salary). For the eligibility criteria that lead to a postdoc, I can list several possibilities: 1) continuing a research in a developed center; 2) boosting your academic skills in certain field; 3) researching with devices and within facilities that were not feasible during your PhD; 4) updating a research line with technology that emerged after your PhD; and 5) exploring new horizons under the supervision of a more experienced researcher.
As for the institutional aspects, I am not aware of country-specific regulations that guarantee a salary during your postdoc or any work-related benefit. To my knowledge, there is no (international) standard set for this purpose. You will have to consult and rely on the regulations of your university, the target university (postdoc center) and maybe on potential regulations of your country.

I am appreciating that you have good inspiration to apply for Post-doc in your field of research.
You have to be known well familiar with your research world. Of course, there are many differences from Institution to Institution and from Country to Country but you have to check clearly the field in which you are going to pursue your research. You have to find out the research where it is advertised in which country or the University.
Apart from the selection of these things and the other criteria that you have to be clear on these issues also.
1. Develop your networks in the research of your own
2. Build up a rapport with your area researchers in the world
3. Check the Scholarship or Funding aspects to cope with expenditures etc
4. Look Worldwide
5. Read the Instructions or Guidelines thoroughly for which you can consult the Professors on your field if it is Europe or USA or Canada etc.
6. Receive the Recommendation letters from the eminent Professors of your field.
7. Tell more about your proposals more than your Ph.D. research.
8. Try to avoid unnecessary binding before getting admission for Post Doc.
9. If you are not able to fulfill their conditions or instructions, please don't apply. Look for other suitable opportunities. Don't manipulate yourself by producing some letters
10. Post-Doc is a great lift in Academia and you will be more popular in your field of research in the world.
