Consider a cavity with movable end mirror. Cavity field generates radiation pressure on mirror and give rise to coupling of field and mirror. This coupling is linear and can be made quadratic with different approach (membrane in the middle set up approach).  Since this is a coupling of cavity modes or photons with phonons (mirror acting as oscillator), therefore:

 1. What are the conditions for this coupling to be weak and strong?

 2. Can somehow photons be generated via phonons or vice versa in such system?

 Thanks

 Regards

 Anil
