Hello everyone.. thanks for your reply...actually I want to understand the basic concept of making revert so I reframed my question which will help you to understand what I want to ask.

In various research articles, I found that for making revert (from mutant) researcher replaces the gene at different locus so I want to know why we can't reinsert the gene at the same locus.
