Maybe you can use the freeware System (or Solar) Adivsor Model (SAM): it makes use of TRNSYS to simulate namely solar tower plants.

Normally you can get the documentation of SAM on the website sam.nrel.com

I enclose the part of the documentation dedicated to CSP system and two papers from NREL presenting some CSP simulations with SAM.

Please read the John A. Duffie & William A. Beckman book and understand the governing factors of solar power plants then you can use TRANSYS libraries to model the design. good luck
