We often hear (ad nauseam) that the psychological meaning of color *changes* from culture to culture. Yes, in SOME cases it does. I am interested to find the internationally *common* meanings of color.
Therefore my interest - in particular - is in studies from NON-western cultures -- those from an African, Asian or Middle Eastern culture. I am of particular interested to hear from NON-western researchers. My PREMISE: "Although the meaning of SOME colors changes from culture to culture, there ARE some colors which have a common meaning for all of mankind."
If a *robust* list (example#1) in particular one that is researched, not just hearsay. A simple list (example#2) would be better than nothing. I am looking for the *commonality* of human response to particular colors.
Is anyone aware of such a robust list, preferably created from research? (...or at least a simple list not from researched) What research has been done on this?
