Can any one please tell me what are the common methods to purify SDS coated polystyrene latex particle. A good reference on the issue will also be highly appreciate.

Thanks Edwin. I suspect there is some unreacted monomer left. I have butyl acrylate as comonomer and I can smell it even after 12h of reaction. How do you get rid off the unreacted monomer? I was planning to do first dialysis in methanol and then in water. I don't know if organic solvent will change the particle properties. Please let me know what you think on this.
Hello dear, the dialysis process can reduce the concentration of surfactant in the particle surface. Could you please tell me how are doing your polymerization process, since emulsion or miniemulsion polymerization exhibit high conversion and lowest concentration of residual monomers.
