As we know that the shear strength values in the soil are suppose to be similar or close to each other in shear strength tests,
I had tested a punch of samples but there are differences in the shear strength values.
Now, I'd like to ask about the causes behind the difference in the strength between UU TrI axial and UCS for the same soil sample ?
Also, is there any relationship between the liquid limit of the soil and its strength ?

The main causes behind the difference in the strength between UU Triaxial and UCS for the same soil sample is
In triaxial we are testing in close cell pressure but in UCS test we r not doing so with same samples. due that some holding pressure is apply to the soil sample
So we find some changes in Shear parapers
Usually the test is done on saturated sample of clayey soil. As the test is undrained, the frictional component of shear strength will not be mobilized. The Mohr-Coulomb failure envelop will be horizontal and so
