Almost every liver operation can be performed by laparoscopy. Indications may vary according experience and surgeon skills. Usually a good training is necessary, following by surgery with aid of a mentor. Then initiate with enucleations in easy locations within the liver, followed by left lateral resection and so on. The main point is that indication should be the same for open liver surgery. Do not extend indications for benign diseases such as simple liver cysts, liver hemangioma or focal nodular hyperplasia.
