Why are you searching for a combination therapy to treat acute HBV?
The majority of adults who acquire HBV and develop an acute hepatitis (acute HBV) are likely to seroconvert without treatment (generally considered to be >90%). Patients who develop fulminant hepatitis B often commence therapy with either entecavir or tenofovir, although this would not be with the aim or expectation of seroconversion.

Actually more than 90 % of adult presented by acute HBV will resolve spontaneously within 6 month but if severe attack near to sub or fulminant as INR >1.5 or hyperbilirubinarmia and jaundice persistence you should start antiviral therapy as soon. I had one case reached clearence but another one died with severe attack in spite we started entecavir
The common consideration is not indicate any antiviral treatment in aceute HBV infection because the usual way is the spontaneous recovery in more than 90% of cases
High bilirubin (> 10mg), INR > 1.5 , Iuse entacavir and excellent prognosis and seroconversion within 4 months.
Yoiu can take in consideration the possibility of spontaneous recovery always
For those who do not seroconvert,what is the best drug combination?
A good combination would be entecavir plus tenofovir in low dose and in short term period
