I am a PhD student currently working with zebra finch. I think that the ability to manipulate the gene expression of specific cells within living zebra finch embryos would be useful for my research questions. Currently, our lab does not have the equipment to perform molecular approaches. For my post doc, I would like to find a lab that is currently performing genetic manipulations in birds so that I could apply these techniques to research questions in my future lab :) I would also appreciate any info about workshops or courses where I could learn about how to generate transgenic birds.
