I would like to research the effects of factory pollutions in two types of pollution: air pollution and groundwater pollution and finally plant diseases that are created by mentioned pollutions. Can I use remote sensing datas?
Remote sensing technique can be useful to measure the changes in air pollution if high resolution data are used with intervals. G water pollution detection would be difficult with r.s technique. One can study g.water with r.s, however the vegetation growth, plant desease can give some vague idea of g.w pollution but not precise.---------------------------------------------------parashar
The remotely sensed data can be very effective for air pollution. The water pollution can be in form of HABs etc. But the plant diseases can not be very clearly identified.
up to my knowledge some plant diseases can be studied by remote sensing technique for example plants chlorophyll in leaves affected by diseases. healthy plants contains good amount of chlorophyll so its looks greenish but the diseased plants chlorophyll is relatively poor so it is turned in to yellowish color such a way the remote sensing technique is used to study the plant diseases.
But in ground water pollution remote sensing techniques are directly not applicable.
