I dont think , in dry areas , strawberry would be any longer a successful venture . However , you can browse through literature on strawberry cultivation on issues like cultivation practices , varieties , irrigation requirement etc etc....
@Mais It is not an easy task to cultivate strawberry in dry areas. However, some attempts were made and got success through improved cultivation practices. We are cultivating strawberry in hot dry part of Rajasthan. Winter Dawn cultivar is cheering farmers. Farmers are cultivating in both polyhouse as we as open field. They grow it in the Month of Nov. N harvesting starts in the Feb. You can find suitable techniques for your areas.
It required the low temperature in the winter Season. We have found that even cultivation in open-conditions, is better than poly house practices.
