I steeped taro leaves in ethanol and placed it in a labatorory freezer for 72 hours to get as much biowax from the leaves as possible. However, this had the undesired effect of extracting the chlorophyll from the leaves as well. What can I do to separate the chlorophyll from my mixture? I was planning to run the mixture through activated charcoal and filter paper based on answers to questions similar to this, but I want confirmation if this is a good idea, or to hear suggestions for better alternatives that can be done.
