I did some search on Google. Some people suggest that high copy number plasmids would give higher levels of protein expression, and only use low copy number plasmids if the protein is toxic or insoluble. Some people, on the other hand, suggest using low copy plasmids by default. I've used both high and low copy number plasmids for protein expression in E. coli, and they both worked fine. What are people's opinion on the matter?
