I want to do ICC and measure the internalization of RGD-receptor integrins triggered by a RGD compound we're working on. I don't want the antibody to either block the RGD site or to trigger endocytosis on its own. I'm also hoping to use a version conjugated to a fluorophore for FRAP studies.
This group used LM609 linked to phycoerythrin, but that only looks at avb3 and other papers indicate it blocks the RGD receptor. http://www.nature.com/mt/journal/v17/n5/full/mt200929a.html
Perhaps I should be looking at GFP labeling, but my lab has no experience with that and the antibody staining seemed more approachable.
