I am interested to know what are magnetic and dipole moments of typical Janus particles (organic and non organic, measured and estimated). I mean magnetic and dipole moments of a single Janus particle.
I looked to the literature of Janus particles and found a full host of such micro- and nano-particles have already been synthesized by different laboratories. The properties are obviously varied and therefore it is difficult answer the question raised. However, if the Janus nanoparticles consists of one half hyrophobic and other half hydrophilic then you expect giant electrical dipole moment due to the separation of positive and negative charges. However we cannot expect find a magnetic analogue of this simply because we can not have magnetic monopoles.
