I wish to know whether a synthesized nanoparticle can be used as effective nanofluid for thermal and electrical application. Also I am in need of the measurement techniques available and can be used to measure the thermal and electrical properties of nanofluids. Please suggest all the possible properties to be measured and also measurement methods.

You can measure thermal conductivity with KD2 Pro, viscosity with any viscometer such as Brookfield, etc. The density and specific heat of the nanofluid is evaluated with the equations available in the literature. These four thermo-physical properties are essential in convection heat transfer. Regarding measurement of electrical properties, you can determine the electrical conductivity the is available with pH meter. The electrical conductivity indicates the state of agglomeration before and after the conduct of an experiment. If the electrical conductivity remains unaltered before and after the conduct of convection experiment, we can deduce from the values the state of the particle agglomeration. The particles can be assumed to remain unaltered in size.
