We are extracting phenolics using 70% acetone. The samples are set up in 96 deep well plates. The CentriVap (rotary vacuum) and lyophilizer that we have are made with materials that could be degraded by the acetone (don't have correct lining, more for aqueous). Are there other methods for evaporating off this 70% acetone? The phenolic extracts are then to be resuspended in DMSO.

The Genevac systems are designed for agreesive solvents, acids, explosives and complex mixtures - they cut their teeth working with 95% TFA in microplates. Depeding on how many samples you have the the size of your equipment budget, then you probably will want an EZ-2.

You could also try and use Dri-Block concentrators. These essentially heat up the samples to relatively low temperatures (30-40°C) and pass a stream of nitrogen gas through the them as to speed up evaporation.
