I am trying to predict a change in the characteristic equation of the reservoir caused by the inclusion of sedimentation in the reservoir. The prediction equation can be determined numerically by adding artificial volume reduction in several stages, then creating a new prediction equation based on changes in the reservoir water balance which becomes inconsistent because of using a characteristic equation that is no longer suitable.
Is there a similar analysis that I can study to see how well my approach to the equation works.

Thank you for the reply, and as mentioned I believe that the topic idea is in the right track, but here i still found it difficult to find article in this topic.
Indeed the future prediction of climate change also of good interest, but here i thought it's best to find out the storage characteristic change between two or more measurment of storage event (echo sounding survey) as starting time and other surveys for verification point of the prediction equation change, then we can calculate how the prediction deviate to the measurement survey for a validation test.
In this case the amount of sediment inflow could be just ignored since I only predict the change using water balance changing trend, and find out which parameter that really give best prediction is the goal of this research.
I could have water elevation change differently (higher expected) in respond of percipitation event at the same intensity, this is a trace of additional sedimentation and the characteristic storage could have been change. The same things could happen when withdrawing of the same amount of water could cause the water level decrease differently (higher decrease expected). But indeed it's only true when the deposition of sedimentation is at the same level of existing water level, and may be this research is not worth enough.
I thougt it probably could be used in small dam, or shallow lake dam. In this case i used a shallow lake dam for this research.
