Does anyone know how can I access the RILEM 25 PEM(II-6)-water absorption test method? Or do you know another methods for doing this test?Please advise how can i get them?

To
determine the increase in resistance towards water penetration a sorptivity test, based on
the RILEM 25 PEM (II-6), was carried out. The mortar specimens were coated at the four
edges adjacent to the treated side, to ensure unidirectional absorption throug
h the treated side.
After coating, the test cubes were dried at 45°C in a ventilated oven, establishing a mass
equilibrium of less than 0.1% between two measurements at 24 hour intervals. The specimens
were then exposed, to 10±1 mm of water, with the treat
ed side facing downwards (water level
about 2 mm above the base of the specimen). At regular time intervals (15 min, 30 min; 1h,
1.5h, 3 h, 5 h, 8 h, 24 h, 72 h, 96 h, 120 h, 144 h and 168 h) the specimens were removed
from the water and weighed, after dry
ing the surface with a wet towel. Immediately after the
measurement the test specimens were submerged again. The sorptivity coefficient, k [cm.s

], was obtained by using the following expression:

where Q is the amount of water absorbed [cm³]; A is the cross section of the specimen that
was in contact with water [cm²]; t is the time [s], Q/A was plotted against the
square root of
time, then k was calculated from the slope of the linear relation between the former.

at first thank you for your answer.yes i got what you got,but my mean was that,i can't access to the real paper of RILEM standard about water absorption.because i want to know,if i can expose five faces of specimen to water and seal only one face instead of exposing one face to water and sealing four faces adjacent to treated face,or not?
In case of the RILEM test N° II.6. of RILEM commission 25-PEM the procedure is clearly descripted. Like Jean mentioned before you are only allowed to expose one treated side to water.
Why do you want to expose five sides of the specimen? For acceleration?

i want to do this because,i think it's more real than when we expose just one side to water(like,columns of bridge).on the other hand,with consider to the formula presented by RILEM, i think it's not important how many sides expose to water,and when we immerse 5 sides we have to use 5 surfaces area instead of A, but i want to be sure about that.

I think you are on the right way. If you have the possibility, than investigate the water uptake under both boundary conditions. I would expect that you will see differences. In the end you have to use your main point: Your test mirrors the real conditions.
