For 10 years I worked as a volunteer doctor in a nursing home. The appreciation of the patients, their recognition and the results in terms of health, were my best pay at that time

Volunteering is essential in every society. It brings out the caring and compassionate nature of the citizens. It benefits the community in many ways - teaching, mentoring, social services, health care, education, civic service, grassroots organizing, the environment, etc. It also brings forth the idea that not everything is done for the sake of money. Both parties are gaining i.e. community that received the help & love as well as the volunteers - because as volunteers, they feel great as they can contribute or give back to society since they'd received blessing from the same / other sources. I think the more one gives the more s/he will get - just like the saying: the more knowledge we share the more we learn.
Ism of social parameters is secured by society with respect to:
1. Gender equality
2. Culture via Custom, Traditions, Rituals, Belief, Dialect
3. Basic Education
4. Human dignity
5. Tolerance
Society is assumed to be 'Rational' & achievement of social goal with age and gender via protection of culture invest sustainable and equitable future of mankind.
Through Community work an individual gets an additional opportunity to serve the society, to connect to the masses directly and come to understand better the people and their needs, all this help shape personality and life outlook in the individual, in my knowledge, for many of the great minds known to us today community work played an important role in their followed life path .

There are quite a number of things people can do for their communities. I create lots of fun in my community as a cultural musician and dance tutor. I edit articles in the community's language and facilitate its teaching in the prinary and high schools. I participate in providing scholarships to indigent students. I am viewed as a resource person for royal consultations. Its gratifying to know that one is relevant at the community level and that all that talent has not gone to waste
Let me start from the quote "Volunteer work starts at your home, do not stop it there", so, in my opinion, everyone is doing volunteering. As well as, it has a positive impact on both; volunteers and the community where they live as well. In general, I see the volunteers are more successful than their other peers, especially in social and businesslike issues.
