No doubt,it is an important component of primary health care,but there is lot of bottlenecks to implement this component in letter and spirit. For this advocacy of the PRIs members along with staff dedication and general population awareness is an important aspect.

We have experience of working in 100 villages where we have a network of CBOs & empowered VHSCs.

We are looking other organisation & people who also have similar experience to share

Good articulation, Dr Singh, I feel that the time has arrived tha we should think of creating fourth tier of health care at village/household level as suggested by World Bank in 1993.

Right sir, it's the health need of community.

During my service tenure I have participated in almost VHND at PHC and CHC level invited district administration which provided better opportunities to the villagers to participate in it with lot of enthusiasm. Really it's good step of communitization . Go ahead sir, VHNSC , VHND ,MSS and PRIs can be very effective if understood by health care providers, Community members and other stakeholders. Kudos and keep it up sir.
