I am looking for a vector to enhance translation efficiency to express a very small protein (~36 aa) in plants. If someone has information of a particular vector for plants kindly share information.
You need binary vector with suitable promoter and terminator of the gene coding desired protein for efficient expression in plant.s.
I know that. I am looking for a vector with modified terminator to enhance stability/enhanced translation.
Vectors could be important, but other conditions might also important for transgene expression:
1. Codon-optimization. I don't know which organism this small protein derived, you might need to codon-optimize the gene to make it express efficiently in the plants.
2. Depending on your research goal, you might need a strong promoter to boost its production.
The gene is from Arabidopsis and would be expressed in Arabidopsis so codon optimization is not a problem. For small proteins the ratio of mRNA and protein is very poor, so I am trying to optimize conditions to change this ratio by enhancing translation and or stability of protein.
