I am working on a research project in which I am going to find extreme climatic events under changing climate. The approach is based on the use of stochastic weather generator and I want to use LARS-WG for this purpose. Calibration and validation can be easily done but I am having difficulty using "generator" tab as software manual is for older version and I don't know how to manipulate with those new options for generation of synthetic weather data. Kindly tell me how those scenarios are used in generator tab..

The generation function within lars-wg5.5 is also easy to run.
What you have to do:
1. Select the site that you want to work on it (under, site)
2. Select from the IPCC4 (CMIP3), as an example, which (GCMs) model, emission scenario, and time period you want to consider;
3. Write the number of years and Rand. seed ( you can use 300 years and 577, as default values);
4. Simply run the scenario for the selected values.
5. You can find two files on the output folder, the first is (*.dat) contains the required data and the second (*.st) involves the site location and description of the obtained data.

Hi Ahmed,
The procedure is as mentioned by Mohammed and it is a matter of clicking button. But you should first calibrate and validate the variables for a specific station.
Once you you have a calibrated station you can choose that station and run the scenario geneerator. LARS WG5.5 incorporated 15 CMIP3 GCMs for three scenarios up to the period of 2100. So, you can choose different GCMs incorporated in LARSWG but if you want to generate scenarios other than the incorporated GCMs, you have to construct your own scenarios following in the user manual procedure.
