the Darcy–Weisbach equation is an empirical equation is used to find the pressure drop due to friction in pipes.

The Darcy-Weisbach calculates the head loss in laminar or turbulent single-phase or multiphase flows. The pressure Loss according to DW formula writes

Dp=-Landa*(L/D)*Ro*U**2/2

Lamda is the friction coefficient that dépends on the Reynolds Number and its formulation is différent for laminar and turbulent flows
