We are administering mifepristone as a therapy for pup mice up to 21 days old, unfortunately due to that age normal vehicles this drug can dissolve in like EtOH and DMSO were found to be toxic. We have begun to use carboxymethylcellulose as the vehicle, however the mifepristone remains in suspension and an issue is that it can clog up our syringe for gavage treatment. I found information online that ultrasonication can be used to dissolve mifepristone in CMC, but it does not mention the parameters like time required. Does anyone know this?
