5-BrdU (5-bromodeoxyuridine) can be used for cell proliferation labeling studies in animal models. In experimental operations, the animal reagent needs to be injected, and then the appropriate feeding cycle is maintained (to ensure that cell division activities within the labeling time window are effectively captured), and then the target organ or tissue is sampled.
At the detection level, the classic method is to use BrdU-specific antibodies (Cat.No.: HY-P80038) for immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining, and visualize the dividing cells labeled with 5-BrdU through antigen-antibody reaction.
This method needs to pay attention to the optimization of the antigen repair step in the sample pretreatment to ensure the antibody binding efficiency.
