Hi, i was planing to use transfer plasmid and a HIV backbone plasmid containing gag to assessed integrase activity. To do that im missing an information. When i transfect a cell with both plasmid as usually is done for the production of lentivirus, the transfer cassette is integrated? Nobody have this info? By logic in the transfected cell we should have all the component required for the integration but I'm not sure this actually happen.

I think yes, a small part of the cells have integration, but in the long term it is difficult to separate it from cells containing only the plasmid.
