Yes, the principle of freedom of information on the Internet is massively important, although of course laws governing intellectual property must apply here too. But issues such as Net Neutrality and addressing the digital divide as well as opposition to government shut downs, disinformation and censorship must be addressed if the Internet is to fulfil the potential it offers for enlightenment, learning and democracy.
