In the Solvent extraction, mixer and settler shape are important, but very factors such as; concentration of leach liquor, A/O ratio, temperature, agitation rate, types of solvent and etc., play role of important in copper solvent extraction operation. on the on the other hand mixer geometry and shape for decrease of temperature in the operation and energy consumption are important, too.

Hi. as you know choosing the shape of mixer is related to two factor. extent of mixing and the RPM of your motor. the most important factor is the ratio of mixer diameter/ vessel diameter. if this ratio be close to 1 so you can reach the high extent of mixing in low RPM. if you want to have the mixing in whole of reactor vessel you can use radial mixer. if you want to have mixing in low part of vessel and have a quiescent upper part you can use downward mixer.
